Tantrik Spirituality Image: Shiva Panchanana Talon Abraxas

 "Om Namah Shivaya"

Shiva Panchanana

Panchamukhi Shiva represents the fivefold manifestation of Lord Shiva, symbolizing his all-encompassing nature across creation, preservation, destruction, concealment, and grace. The five faces—Sadyojata, Vamadeva, Aghora, Tatpurusha, and Ishana—each correspond to different directions, elements, and aspects of divine consciousness, revealing Shiva as the supreme reality governing every dimension of existence. This form signifies mastery over the five elements (earth, water, fire, air, and space) and the transcendence of all dualities. In spiritual practice, Panchamukhi Shiva is meditated upon to gain balance, protection, and higher awareness. It reflects that the Divine is present everywhere and in every form. In this sacred understanding, Panchamukhi Shiva embodies the totality of existence, guiding the seeker toward unity with the infinite consciousness.

Shakti Advaita BY Ananda Lahari

The supreme master of logic, Adi Shankara- the founder of Advaita Vedanta- had to be humbled into the truth of Shakti. Legend tells that while traveling, the brilliant ascetic fell gravely ill and was left completely paralysed, stripped of all physical strength.

When he claimed he lacked the power to even stand, the Divine Mother appeared before him, piercing his cold intellectualism with a radical truth: because he had spent his life preaching a formless, static absolute while dismissing the dynamic Goddess, he now had no Shakti (energy) left to move.

Stunned by this sudden realisation, Shankara fell to his knees in total surrender, watching the universe shift from a cold illusion into the blazing, vibrant reality of the Goddess.

Out of that ecstatic rapture, he penned the opening lines of the Ananda Lahari— declaring that Shiva is only capable of manifesting when united with Shakti- without Her, the masculine is a corpse, incapable of making even a single vibration.

Zhuangzi

“When there is no more separation between ‘this’ and ‘that,’ it is called the still-point of the Tao. At the still point in the center of the circle one can see the infinite in all things.”

Om Tat Sat

Nondual awareness, also known as non-duality, refers to a state of consciousness where the perceived separation between subject and object, self and other, dissolves. It's a state of unified, immutable, and often blissful awareness, sometimes described as the ground of being or pure consciousness. This perspective is central to various contemplative traditions, including Advaita Vedanta, Mahayana Buddhism, and Kashmiri Shaivism.

Buddha (Udānavarga 2)

"Even if the Himalayas were turned into gold, it would still not be enough to satisfy the desires of a single person. Human desires are boundless. Realising this, one should maintain a peaceful mind."

Wu Hsin

 You are dreaming

My child:

Dreaming that you are asleep

Dreaming that you are awake.

All the while

Life is being lived.

My dear children,

You are not

What you think you are

This what-you-think-you-are is

A shadow of

What you are,

Just as the moon

Reflecting on the lake water is

Not the moon.

Hearing with the ears is

Inferior to listening

With the heart.

Maha-subhashita-samgraha

“As the rising sun immediately dissipates all the world’s darkness, which is deep like an ocean, so the holy name of the Lord, if chanted once without offenses, dissipates all the reactions of a living being's sinful life. All glories to that holy name of the Lord, which is auspicious for the entire world.”

Jiddu Krishnamurti

Walking along the fields and climbing over a stile you came to a grove of many trees and several redwoods. As you entered it you were suddenly aware of its absolute silence. There wasn’t a leaf moving, it was as though a spell had been cast upon it. The grass was greener, brighter with the slanting sun upon it and you felt all of a sudden a great feeling of sacredness. You walked through it almost holding your breath, hesitating to step. There were great blooms of hydrangeas and rhododendrons which would flower in several months, but none of these things mattered, or rather they gave a benediction to this spot. You realized when you came out of the grove that your mind was completely empty without a single thought. There was only that and nothing else. When one loses the deep intimate relationship with nature, then temples, mosques and churches become important.

three Bible passages,

In three Bible passages, Jesus healed people and told them “your faith has made you well.”

In some versions of the Bible, the word “well” is translated as “whole".

Editorial comment. - Om Tat Sat

Universal Consciousness dissolves the illusion of separateness, providing a foundational driver for genuine, unconditional altruism. U. C. is understood as a single, underlying field of awareness that forms the fundamental fabric of reality, rather than being a byproduct of biological brains. In this view, individual minds are not isolated islands, but temporary waves arising from and returning to this one vast ocean of awareness. Based on our innate recognition of of such potential Liberation, it becomes a great joy for us and an encouragement to keep practicing Self Inquiry.

Annamalai Swami --

Consciousness is universal. There is no limitation or "little self" in it. It is only when we identify with and limit ourselves to the body and the mind that this false self is born. If, through inquiry, you go to the Source of this "little self", you find that it dissolves into nothingness.

The discovery that peace, happiness, and love are ever-present within our own Being, and completely available at every moment of experience, under all conditions, is the most important discovery that anyone can make.

"You are not an entity trying to become free; you are freedom itself, momentarily hypnotized by a story. Wake up from the identification with the character, and the entire plot loses its weight."
