Fernando Pessoa - The Voice of God

A voice shines in the night... From within out , I heard it... O Universe, I am you... Oh, the horror of joy! Of this dread, of the torch If extinguished, that guides me! Ashes of ideas and names In me, and the Voice: Oh world, Seeded in you I am... Mere echo of me, I flood myself from waves of black fire In which to God I sink.

 “A mind that has experienced

the light of Silence will see through conceptual dramas with penetrating clarity.”

Friedrich Nietzsche

There will always be rocks in the road ahead of us. They will be stumbling blocks or stepping stones; it all depends on how you use them.

Tyohar

Meditation is not doing, not achieving nor is it a release. It is a loss of interest in the theater of mind. Then, without effort silence, wells from within and you enjoy who you are.

“The deepest realization of meditation is that your being is a non-being. It is a nothing, a vast emptiness without boundaries. It is a no-self. The feeling of self, of "I" is false.”

Rumi

Love whispers in my ear "Do not be hunter, be the victim of love! Submit your reasoning; just be naïve in love Do not try be a Sun, merely become a dust particle [that reflects Sun and shines]

Michael Bassey Johnson

“We can feel the vibration that comes from the candle flame, burning it way into our innermind, no blurry images, clear as crystal, we enter into the highest consciousness, on our journey back home, we possess the eagle's eye, the eye that can see the invisible.”

“Most of the almost eight billion souls on earth desire the same thing, sustenance and covering, peace and love, while few find. Why? Restraint and observance of the wisdom (dharma) of the Laws of Creation has not been taught, respected nor practiced. Only the karma of discord can follow. Only as this spiritual path of these Divine Laws are brought into alignment with our ‘awareness’ of actions can our minds be cleared of the physicality of ego so as to being able become 'aware’ of our own higher Self, where correction of thought and bliss are found.”

Daphne Rose Kingma

“The potential for loss of soul--to one degree or another--is the affliction of a society that as a collective has lost its sense of the holy, of a culture that values everything else above the spiritual. We live in such a spiritually impoverished culture--and in such a time. Loss of soul, to one degree or another, is a constant teasing possibility. We are invited at every corner to hedge on the truth, indulge outselves, act as if our words and actions have no ultimate consequence, make an absolute of the material world, and treat the spiritual world as if it were some kind of frothy, angelic fantasy. In such a world the soul struggles for survival; in such a world a man can lose his own soul and have the whole culture support him, and in such a world, conversely, the light of a single, great soul that lives in integrity can truly illumine the world.”

Sri Aurobindo, ‘Process of Sadhana’

“Concentrate in the heart. Enter into it; go within and deep and far, as far as you can. Gather all the strings of your consciousness that are spread abroad, roll them up and take a plunge and sink down. A fire is burning there, in the deep quietude of the heart. It is the divinity in you – your true being. Hear its voice, follow its dictates.”

Hsin Hsin Ming

“When love and hate are both absent, everything becomes clear and undisguised. Make the slightest distinction, however, and heaven and earth are set infinitely apart. If you wish to see the truth, then hold no opinions for or against anything. To set up what you like against what you dislike is the disease of the mind.”

 From Thee emerge all forms,

In Thee are all forms dissolved.

Aberjhani, The River of Winged Dreams

“The death of a dream can in fact serve as the vehicle that endows it with new form, with reinvigorated substance, a fresh flow of ideas, and splendidly revitalized color. In short, the power of a certain kind of dream is such that death need not indicate finality at all but rather signify a metaphysical and metaphorical leap forward.”

Adyashanti

It’s all a creation of mind, an endless movie, and sometimes a terrible dream. The great irony is to think you have some power to actually change the dream; that is just a figment in the dream appearing to do things. Be aware of the dream.  Look at what looks at the dream. Instead of being submerged, ease up and relax.

Rumi

 “Oh soul,you worry too much.

You have seen your own strength. You have seen your own beauty. You have seen your golden wings. Of anything less, why do you worry? You are in truth
the soul, of the soul, of the soul.”

Paul Brunton

WHEN THE masculine and feminine temperaments within us are united, completed, and balanced, when masculine power and feminine passivity are brought together inside the person and knowledge and reverence encircle them both, then wisdom begins to dawn in the soul. The ineffable reality and the mentalist universe are then understood to be non-different from one another.

A Yogi’s Autobiography by Sri M

“As you watch, you will become one with the flow of universal life that has no limits. Don’t imagine anything. Just observe with an open mind, and have no fixed goal. ‘Let go and rejoice,’ as the Isha Upanishad says, Tena Tyaktena Bhunjitha.”

The Heart Sutra

GATE GATE PARAGATE PARASAMGATE BODHI SVAHA

Gone. Gone.

Gone beyond.

Gone utterly beyond.

Oooo what a realization!

Sri Ramana:

The sense of 'I' pertains to the person, the body and brain. When a man knows his true Self for the first time something else arises from the depths of his being and takes possession of him. That something is behind the mind; it is infinite, divine, eternal. Some people call it the Kingdom of Heaven, others call it the soul and others again Nirvana, and Hindus call it Liberation; you may give it what name you wish. When this happens a man has not really lost himself; rather he has found himself.

Unless and until a man embarks on this quest of the true Self, doubt and uncertainty will follow his footsteps through life. The greatest kings and statesmen try to rule others when in their heart of hearts they know that they cannot rule themselves. Yet the greatest power is at the command of the man who has penetrated to his inmost depth.

Baba Faqir Chand

I am a bubble of Super-most consciousness. That is what my realization is. This is what I have gained. Now what I feel is that there is One, Infinite, Super-most Element. From IT, when it moves, Sound and Light come out and from that Light and Sound this creation takes place. Cosmic rays and many other types of rays come out of this Light and Sound and all this gross matter is made. So it is the Will of that Supreme Power. Everything is oozing out of IT and is merging back in IT.

Swami Dhyan Giten

“The New Man means to develop all the three dimensions of being, all the three doors to God: the head, the dimension of thinking, logic and reason, the heart - the dimension of joy, trust, intuition, relationships, beauty, creativity and a sense of unity in love and the being, the dimension of meditation, silence, emptiness and oneness with life.

The first level of the head is the dimension of ide
as, intellect, hypothesis, theories, logic, analysis, rationality and dualistic thinking.

The first level is the level of the mind, which means a continuous oscillation like a pendulum between the mind's memories of the past and the ideas, dreams and expectations of the future.

The second level of the heart is the dimension of joy, acceptance, trust, understanding, trust, friendship, intuition, empathy, creativity, compassion, humor, playfulness and a sense of unity in love.

The third level of being is the dimension of presence, awareness, meditation, silence, emptiness and wholeness. The third level is our connection with our inner life source.”

Bhagavata Purana (3.25.16)

"When one is completely cleansed of the impurities of lust and greed produced from the false identification of the body as "I" and bodily possessions as "mine," one's mind becomes purified. In that pure state he transcends the stage of so-called material happiness and distress."

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Let us labor for an inward stillness–

An inward stillness and an inward healing. That perfect silence where the lips and heart Are still, and we no longer entertain Our own imperfect thoughts and vain opinions, But God alone speaks to us and we wait In singleness of heart that we may know His will, and in the silence of our spirits, That we may do His will and do that only.

Ramana Maharshi

The mind of one meditating on a single object becomes one-pointed. And one-pointedness of mind leads to abidance in the self. Real attainment is to be fully conscious, to be aware of surroundings and the people around, to move among them all, but not to merge consciousness in the environment. One should remain in inner independent awareness.

Bhagavad Gita

These bodies are perishable, but the dwellers in these bodies are eternal, indestructible and impenetrable.

— Bhagavad Gita

“The very idea of going beyond the dream is illusory. Why go anywhere? Just realize that you are dreaming a dream you call the
world, and stop looking for ways out. The dream is not your problem. Your problem is that you like one part of your dream and not another. Love all, or none of it, and stop complaining. When you have seen the dream as a dream, you have done all that need be done.”

Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj from I Am That

Alan Watts

We must see that consciousness is neither an isolated soul nor the mere function of a single nervous system, but of that totality of interrelated stars and galaxies which makes a nervous system possible.

THE Avadhuta Gita

THE Avadhuta Gita is attributed to the sage Dattatreya, who spontaneously sang it after purifying himself in meditation and becoming absorbed in the uninterrupted bliss of Reality. It is regarded as one of the greatest treatise on Advaita Vedanta and some scholars date it as far back as 5000 B.C.

The word "avadhut" refers to one who has renounced all worldly attachments and connections and lives in a state beyond body consciousness. He has shaken off all cares and concerns, possessions and positions, along with all concepts and labels that interfere with his direct perception of Reality. He holds out no compromise with illusion, he offers no foothold on separation, he allows no semblance of duality at all to creep into his direct perception. He does not identify with his mind or body or "names and forms" and does not recognise a distinction between himself and the world around him. According to Dattatreya, an avadhut need not have any particular appearance, lifestyle, religion or social role. He may walk about naked or be dressed as a prince. He may appear pious or blasphemous, ascetic or hedonistic. Such a person is held to be pure consciousness in human form. He is the ever-free Reality [Brahman].

“The Ribhu Gita”

*I am of the nature of the Supreme Brahman, beyond the reach of mind and words, which remains as the Reality devoid of the sky and other elements, which abides as the One, devoid of anything anytime. I am the Supreme Consciousness that severs the knot of the mind.

*Ribhu affectionately replied: Truly the world never exists, the world was never created, when inquired into fully all things that seem different from Brahman, which is the substratum of all, will be seen to be only Brahman, the Reality and nothing else

Sri Ramana Maharshi

“If the aspirant would only devote every minute spent in vain thinking about objects, which constitute the not-self, in earnest inquiry in quest of the self, he would, in a very short time, attain self-realization.”

Sally Kempton, Awakening Shakti

“As many lovers of the fierce feminine can attest, once the ‘test’ has been passed and the lover has shown his or her willingness to hang steady in the face of terror, the goddess will reveal that behind all her forms is love itself—love that reveals itself as the very substance of the universe.”

BRAHMAN

In the late vedic period, Brahma, the creator god, became the principal god of the vedic pantheon, replacing Indra. In the Upanishad tradition, the personal god Brahma becomes the impersonal creative principle, Brahman. Through mystical experience, these "forest dwellers," men who had withdrawn from domestic life, arrived at the conclusion that Brahman is not the creator of Reality but is Reality itself in all its multiplicity. It is the sacred power of all things, the source of all things, the essence of all things. Brahman is a generative principle: all things come from Brahman. More than this, however, all things are Brahman, for ultimately there is no plurality, but only unity: "what is" is ultimately Brahman in his appearance as plurality. In other words, what exists is Brahman, which permeates all things and in fact is all things, even material things. Brahman is also described as God, Spirit, the Self (atman) and the sacred syllable of Om. Actually, Brahman is ineffable, being beyond description. One cannot define or describe Brahman, because words differentiate and Brahman is beyond all such differentiations. Yet, much is said about Brahman in the Upanishads, so that one must always take what is said as provisional and not fully true.

“THE SUPREME CONSCIOUSNESS & IT’S POWER ARE ONE !”

THE ‘ HE & SHE ‘ DILEMMA OF GOD : what is the gender of god ? (acc. to hinduism)

There have been numerous queries on our forum about how there is only ‘one female goddess in hinduism’ ,but ‘so many male gods’ .About how can GOD be associated as only Father/HE & not as Mother/SHE.That why is “GOD” only seen as a paternal figure rather than a maternal manifestation.

It is just a sense of perspective that leads us to such false conclusions.

PATRIARCHY ends in the human world of innumerable woes.

The esoteric Knowledge of the Purana’s should not be used to justify mortal affairs .

God is of neither gender – and is both. Let’s consider this .

Before we can understand whether God is male or female, we need to clearly understand that we ourselves are neither male nor female. We are at core spiritual beings, souls, whereas our gender refers only to our shell, our physical bodies. Our spiritual identity is eternal, our gender is transient. Hence both male chauvinism and feminism are two sides of the counterfeit coin of physical misidentification. Only when we distance ourselves from our temporary physical gender will be freed from the ideological preconceptions that are inevitably dragged into discussion on the gender of God. So in the conventional sense of the words ‘male’ and 'female’ where these refer to bodily gender, God is neither.

The creation is compared to female and the creator is compared to male. The creation is controlled by the creator. The Creator has no meaning without the creation.Generally the female is controlled by the male.
