Ignorance does not transform itself into wisdom through the process of time, through the inspiration of a goal. It must be dissolved in the ever-present.
There is no need to look for God here or there. He is no farther away than the door of your own heart. --

Human excellence depends on the growth of the human spirit, a rich quality of life. Courage and conviction in the heart are the true signs of human excellence. One thing is certain: the real is not imaginary, it is not a product of the mind. Even the sense ‘I am’ is not continuous, though it is a useful pointer; it shows where to seek, but not what to seek. Just have a good look at it. Once you are convinced that you cannot say truthfully about your self anything except ‘I am’, and that nothing that can be pointed at, can be your self, the need for the ‘I am’ is over — you are no longer intent on verbalising what you are. All you need is to get rid of the tendency to define your self. All definitions apply to your body only and to its expressions. Once this obsession with the body goes, you will revert to your natural state, spontaneously and effortlessly. The only difference between us is that I am aware of my natural state, while you are bemused. Just like gold made into ornaments has no advantage over gold dust, except when the mind makes it so, so are we one in being — we differ only in appearance. We discover it by being earnest, by searching, enquiring, questioning daily and hourly, by giving one’s life to this discovery.

Within the Vedantic knowledge, the eternal witness within every living being is called the Atma. The word Atma means light or effulgence. The Atma is the very core of each individual which registers all feelings, thoughts, consciousness, and awareness. Western science has taught us that our living forms or bodies have evolved from simple one celled organisms into the complex organization of the human body as it exists today.
To the enlightened one, the world as he knew it ceases to be, and everything now stands enmantled (shrouded) by a shining vesture of divine effulgence, hitherto invisible to his normal vision.
''There is no distinction between "embodied" and "bodiless";
"After all, there are beautiful things that don't last. But memory of them does."
And as you become more and more the statement of love, you fall in love with everyone. There’s nobody here that I don’t feel in love with when I look at because all I see is that which is love in them.
Hatred can never put an end to hatred. Love alone can. This is an unalterable law.
When you realize that eternity is right here now, that it is within your possibility to experience the eternity of your own truth and being, then you grasp the following: That which you are was never born and will never die.
Be grateful for your life, every detail of it,
and your face will come to shine like a sun, and everyone who sees it will be made glad and peaceful.

If there is an ‘I’ who can ‘get it’, there will be an ‘I’ who can ‘lose it’, and this ‘I’ is nothing but thought. It is the most costly thought when believed in, for it exchanges your innocence for complexity and your spontaneity for inhibition.
The Sacred Union is the most loving bond with another that we can experience whilst on the earth plane. It is that kind of love that is beyond the 3rd dimension, an unconditional love that lasts no matter what the other person does. The bond exists on all levels from spiritual to mental, emotional and physical

At the very centre of the Quaker faith lies the concept of the Inner Light. This principle states that in every human soul there is implanted a certain element of God's own Spirit and divine energy... The Inner Light discerns between good and evil. It reveals the presence of both in human beings, and through its guidance, offers the alternative of choice. Secondly, the Inner Light opens the unity of all human beings to our consciousness. Friends believe that the potential for good, as well as evil, are latent in everyone.
George Fox acknowledged that there is "an ocean of darkness and death" over the world. But he also saw that "an ocean of light and of love" flows over this ocean of darkness, revealing the infinite love of God. Friends believe that the power of God to overcome evil is available in the nature of anyone who truly wants to do the will of God. To a great extent, we are the arbiter of our own destiny, having the power of choice.
In reality nothing is lacking and nothing is needed, all work is on the surface only. In the depths there is perfect peace.
