Santmat (Love’s Last Madness, Darshan Singh)

The moment I close my eyes, the Beloved's Light begins.

Let them try to imprison Him in temple, mosque and church!

The seeing eye finds the Beloved’s signs in every mote.

Very near your heart are seekers of your vision;

Those who look at the surface are exiled from

the Beloved’s Light.

What can I say of the grace he showers on me within?

Darshan, the moment I close my eyes, the Beloved’s

Light begins

~ Swami Omkar

" You must not be afraid of the Divine, for God is an endless love. This is a protective love,
an uplifting love,
an all-blessing love;
An unconditional and unconditional love."

There is only One Light shining through every window… call it Buddha-nature, call it Divine Essence, call it God, the name doesn’t really matter; it is only the direct personal experience and manifestation of that essence that really matters. So, go for it! Every person has this glorious essence, the essence of enlightenment, already within them, let it out, let it shine!!

Confusing Love with "Attatchment"

Image may contain: possible text that says 'ॐ Try not to confuse attachment" with "love." Attachment about fear and dependency, and has more to do with love of self than love of another. Love without attachment is the purest love because it isn't about what others can give you because you're empty. It is about what you can give others because you re already full.'

“God has no name. All organized religions have given names to God to be able to have a personal relationship to God, but God is not a person.

God is the underlying force, the energy and the consciousness of existence.

If you cannot feel God, the divine, within, you cannot feel him without.

The first step is to feel God within.

Then prayer to a personal god becomes meaningless, and meditation becomes meaningful.

The second step is to realize God without, to realize that God is not the creator, he is creation. He is not separate from creation. He is the force and consciousness of creation.

The world is God's dance; the world is God's play.”

“When we are mired in the relative world, never lifting our gaze to the mystery, our life is stunted, incomplete; we are filled with yearning for that paradise that is lost when, as young children, we replace it with words and ideas and abstractions- such as merit, such as past, present, and future- our direct, spontaneous experience of the thing itself, in the beauty and precision of this present moment.”

A certain man from Madurai asked: How to know the Power of God?

M.: You say ‘I AM’. That is it. What else can say I AM?
One’s own being is His Power. The trouble arises only when one says, “I am this or that, such and such.” Do not do it - Be yourself. That is all.

D.: How to experience Bliss?
M.: To be free from thinking “I am now out of Bliss”.

D.: That is to say free from modes of mind.
M.: To be with only one mode of mind to the exclusion of others.

D.: But Bliss must be experienced.
M.: Bliss consists in not forgetting your being. How can you be otherwise than what you really are? It is also to be the Seat of Love. Love is Bliss. Here the Seat is not different from Love.

D.: How shall I be all-pervading?
M.: Give up the thought, “I am not all-pervading now.”

D.: How to permeate the separate objects?
M.: Do they exist independently of “I”? Do they say to you “We are”? You see them. You are, and then the objects are also seen. “Without me, these do not exist” - this knowledge is permeation.

Owing to the idea “I am the body; there is something in me” the separate objects are seen as if lying outside. Know that they are all within yourself. Is a piece of cloth independent of yarn? Can the objects remain without Me?

Although you appear in earthly form, your essence is pure Consciousness.

Image may contain: 2 people, possible text that says 'You came to earth to accomplish a divine mission [to be reunited with Godl. Realize how tremendously important that is! Do not allow the narrow ego to obstruct your attainment of an infinite goal. SRI SRI PARAMAHANSA YOGANANDA,'

“You (as Infinite Consciousness) are not limited to a particular race, gender, tribe, culture, status, political affiliation or religion.  Consciousness is not eastern, western, christian, hindu, zen, new age or any other religion/teaching.
Consciousness is the changeless, indivisible field of unfolding possibilities not bound to space, time, name or form. It is only our socially conditioned mind that judges, compares, competes and divides each other.”

The Cause of This Universe by Sri Swami Sivananda

In the beginning, Brahman who is one without a second, alone exists. When darkness was rolling over darkness, there was existence alone.
In Brahman, there was a Spandana or vibration before the world was projected. This is the Sankalpa of Brahman. He thought or willed: “Ekoham Bahu Syam: I am one; may I become many”. This vibration corresponds to the bulging of the seed within the ground when it is soaked with water. Then the whole world was projected.

When an ordinary, meagre juggler can bring forth mangoes, fruits, money, sweetmeats, an imaginary palace, et

c., through Indrajala or Sammohana-vidya, can He—the omnipotent, omniscient Ruler—not create this insignificant world for His own play? When a mortal king adorns his palace with furniture, pictures, curios, garden, fountain, etc., can He not furnish this world with beautiful landscape, brilliant sun, moon and stars, mighty rivers and oceans?

Nature of the Creative Process

This visible world is God’s jugglery. This world is not chaos. It is an organised, divine institution. The world is a shadow of God.
Brahman creates this unthinkable universe through His illusive power of Maya for His own Lila or sporting. The phenomenon of this universe is due to the power called Maya, by which the Absolute, without undergoing any change in or by Itself, appears as an ever-changing succession of phenomena conditioned by time and space.

Brahman has projected this universe without being affected in any way. The Absolute is not affected by the world-process that is going on within It, just as the rains from a cloud do not wet the sky. The one Brahman, through His Sakti, can put on all these countless names and forms and appear as many. There is no change in Himself. The world is mere appearance.

Brahman does not require any instruments or hands for making these forms. He is Chaitanya, self-luminous intelligence. By mere willing, He can bring forth countless worlds.
Just as the potentiality of a seed brings forth a tree, so also, the Svabhava or potentiality of Brahman brings forth this universe. Projection co-exists with existence.

Divinity lies within us all

According to an old Hindu legend, there was a time when all human beings were gods, but they abused their divinity. So, Brahma, the chief god, decided to take the divinity away from them and hide it somewhere they could never find it.

Brahma called a council of the gods to help him decide where to hide the divinity. “Let’s bury it deep in the earth,” said the gods. But Brahma answered, “Humans will dig into the earth and find it.” Some gods suggested, “Let’s sink it in the deepest ocean.” But Brahma said, “No, Human will learn to dive into the ocean and will find it.” Then some gods suggested, “Let’s take it to the top of the highest mountain and hide it there.” Brahma replied, “Human will eventually climb every mountain and take up their divinity.” Then all the gods gave up and said, “We do not know where to hide it, because it seems that there is no place on earth or ocean that human beings will not eventually reach.”

A mountain is composed of tiny grains of earth. The ocean is made up of tiny drops of water. Even so, life is but an endless series of little details, actions, speeches, and thoughts. And the consequences whether good or bad of even the least of them are far-reaching.

There are two viewpoints: a qualified truth for the lower stage of aspirants which admits duality; and the complete viewpoint of nonduality for the highest student; thus for practical life, when dealing with other people or when engaged in some activity, those in the first stage must accept the notion of the world being real, because of expediency; yet even so, when they are alone or when keeping quiet, inactive, they ought to revert back to regarding the world, which includes one’s own body as a part of it, as idea. Only for the sage is the truth always present, no matter whether he is with others, whether he is working, or whether he is in trance, and this truth is continuous awareness of one Reality alone and one Self alone.

Love is the only reality and it is not a mere sentiment.

It is the ultimate truth that lies at the heart of creation.

Excerpted from "The Divine Feminine Oracle” by Meggan Watterson

There’s nothing more powerful than remembering that we are love. And there’s nothing and no one outside of us that is needed in order to realize this. It’s between our experience of the divine and our own soul. We can let go of what we think we need to prove, or who we think we need to be in order to receive love because we remember that we are love. Then we can stand in that truth, even through flames.

Marguerite is a courageous truth teller. And the truth of her experience is that love alone can free us. Not the love another might give us, not the love of family, or of friends. All of this is powerful, and significant. But, the true source of love for us is in the fact that we are a soul, and that the soul is in union with the divine.

She reminds us when we’ve forgotten that love is the essence of who we are. And that true love is found within. Marguerite says, “Love has no beginning, no end, and no limit, and I am nothing except Love.” This is a time to own and to know this truth more fully. It is the most profound and radical act we can ever take: knowing the love we already are. “

Bhagavad Gita

Image may contain: ocean, sky, text, outdoor, water and nature

There Is Only Brahman.

When everything feels
far from you
separate from you
then you are in the mind
that is the agent of the senses.
When there is nothing
but you.
No this or that.
Nothing far away or near
then you are your Self.
You have become everything
everything is within you.
There is no Other.
You are everything
You are The One Self at last.
You saw the many
Now you see the One
The One is in you
You are that One in everything
You are that Brahman.
Om Namah Shivaya

“I think I could turn and live with animals, they are so placid and self-contain’d, I stand and look at them long and long.

They do not sweat and whine about their condition, They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins, They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God, Not one is dissatisfied, not one is demented with the mania of owning things, Not one kneels to another, nor to his kind that lived thousands of years ago, Not one is respectable or unhappy over the whole earth.”

Jalaluddin Rumi, Rumi: Poems

“This silence, this moment, every moment, if it’s genuinely inside you, brings what you need. There’s nothing to believe. Only when I stopped believing in myself did I come into this beauty.

Sit quietly, and listen for a voice that will say, ‘Be more silent.’ Die and be quiet. Quietness is the surest sign that you’ve died. Your old life was a frantic running from silence. Move outside the tangle of fear-thinking.

Live in silence.”

~Anon I mus (Spiritually Anonymous)

“The more you lose yourself in the dreamworld of name and form (to enhance your personal sense of identity); the more unconscious you will become.  You do not have to define, confine or compartmentalize your limitless being into a false, mind-made construct based on fear, limitation, disconnectedness, unworthiness and incompleteness.”

Nisargadatta Maharaj

Questioner: Why is it that we naturally seem to think of ourselves as separate individuals?
Maharaj: Your thoughts about individuality are really not your own thoughts; they are all collective thoughts. You think that you are the one who has the thoughts; in fact thoughts arise in consciousness.
As our spiritual knowledge grows, our identification with an individual body-mind diminishes, and our consciousness expands into universal consciousness. The life force continues to act, but its thoughts and actions are no longer limited to an individual. They become the total manifestation. It is like the action of the wind - the wind doesn't blow for any particular individual, but for the total manifestation.

“The truly wise are meek. Yet being small and meek do not make one weak. Arming oneself with true knowledge generates strong confidence and a bold spirit that makes you a lion of the Universe.

The Creator does not want you to suffer, yet we are being conditioned by society to accept suffering, weak and passive dispositions under the belief that such conditions are favorable. Weakness is not a virtue praised. How could Creation desire for you to be weak if it tells us to stand by our conscience? Doing so requires strength.

However, there is a difference between arrogance when inflating your ego, and confidence when one truly gets closer to the Source. One feels large, while the other feels small. Why?

Because a man of wisdom understands that he is just a small pea in a sea of infinite atoms, and that in the end — we are all connected. And did you not know that the smaller a creature is, the bolder its spirit?”

The future is a concept, it doesn’t exist. There is no such thing as tomorrow. There never will be, because time is always now. That’s one of the things we discover when we stop talking to ourselves and stop thinking. We find there is only present, only an eternal now.

Theosophy teaches – that the Universe is a cyclic and periodical manifestation. It comes forth into existence from the Divine Principle by means of evolution (not creation) and remains and evolves over an incredibly lengthy period of time. Then it gradually disintegrates and disappears, everything being reabsorbed into Brahman. Eventually, after the same duration of time for which it had existed, it is reborn, on a higher level than before

Theosophy teaches – that the Universe and everything in it is in the constant process of evolution. The evolution of matter and of objective forms is undeniable but the most important aspect of evolution is the evolution and gradual unfoldment, advancement, and development of the unseen inner entities (or souls) through those material/objective forms and bodies. Man descended as a “Divine Spark” into matter and has worked his way up into the human kingdom by passing through the mineral, vegetable, and animal kingdoms in long ages past. Now he is evolving back up towards the consciousness of his true spiritual nature.

~ from the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad

When the body and mind grow weak, the Self gathers in all the powers of life and descends with them into the heart. As prana leaves the eye, it ceases to see. "He is becoming one," say the wise; "he does not see. He is becoming one; he no longer hears. He is becoming one; he no longer speaks, or tastes, or smells, or thinks, or knows." By the light of the heart the Self leaves the body by one of its gates; and when he leaves, prana follows, and with it all the vital powers of the body. He who is dying merges in consciousness, and thus consciousness accompanies him when he departs, along with the impressions of all that he has done, experienced, and known.

Thoth-the-Atlantean — The Emerald Tablets

“I began preaching to people the beauty of religion and knowledge.
“O people, men born on the Earth, who indulge in drunkenness, sleep, and the ignorance of God! Sober up, cease your surfeit, awake from your dullness!
“Why do you give up yourselves to death while you have power to partake of immortality?
“Depart from the dark path, be partakers of immortality, abandon forever your vices!
“Nowhere but in God can you find good!”

He is the Flame Creator!
He breathed life in His Creation!
And It started, it came to life,
And all became at His command!

It was born, developed and grew,
And multiplied more and more,
And stood still trembling in His Hands,
Obedient to Will invisible.

“But where to find Him —
the Creator of all this?”
