Khalil Gibran

It is said that before entering the sea

a river trembles with fear.

She looks back at the path she has traveled,

from the peaks of the mountains,

the long winding road crossing forests and villages.

And in front of her,

she sees an ocean so vast,

that to enter

there seems nothing more than to disappear forever.

But there is no other way.

The river can not go back.

Nobody can go back.

To go back is impossible in existence.

The river needs to take the risk

of entering the ocean

because only then will fear disappear,

because that’s where the river will know

it’s not about disappearing into the ocean,

but of becoming the ocean.

Kabir

Be quiet in your mind, quiet in your senses, and also quiet in your body. In that state, truth will reveal itself to you.

Rumi

 If God said,

“Rumi, pay homage to everything that has helped you enter my arms."

There would not be one experience of my life, not one thought, not one feeling, not any act, I would not bow to.

Papaji

Surrender is to surrender your concept of separateness-your ego.

Surrender is to submit your foolishness, your wickedness, to the will of existence. That's all.

You must surrender like a river discharging into the ocean.

Surrender is to discharge your river of separateness into the ocean of Being, losing your limitations, and allowing to happen what happens.

Sayings of Sri Ramakrishna

"Through His grace He reveals Himself. He is the sun of Knowledge. One ray of His has brought the power of understanding in this world. On account of it we have the power to know each other and to acquire various forms of knowledge. We can see Him only if He turns His light on His own face."

George Harrison

-There is no past and there is no future. All there is, is NOW. We can gain experience from the past, but we cannot relive it; and we can expect the future, but we do not know if there is one.

William James

“The world we see that seems so insane is the result of a belief system that is not working. To perceive the world differently, we must be willing to change our belief system, let the past slip away, expand our sense of now, and dissolve the fear in our minds.”

Your body is your Temple

R. Adams

To attain self-realization, there is really nothing you have to doIt does not require puja, it does not require meditation, it does not require prayer, it does not require yoga. It does not require anything, for self-realization is your natural state to begin with

Tilopa

Hua Hu Ching

Do not go about worshipping deities and religious institutions as the source of the subtle truth. To do so is to place intermediaries between yourself and the divine, and to make of yourself a beggar who looks outside for a treasure that is hidden inside his own breast. If you want to worship the Tao, first discover it in your own heart. Then your worship will be meaningful.

Jeff Foster, The Deepest Acceptance

Acceptance is about recognizing yourself as the open space of acceptance, as the ocean that already accepts all its waves, unconditionally here and now, including any wave of nonacceptance.

Sri Paramahansa Yogananda

ONLY THROUGH THE INTUITIVE PERCEPTION of divine realization (veda, "true knowledge") may the Supreme Lord be known. When mortal man attains liberation from delusion, he becomes omniscient: he sees the cosmic Omnipresent Light issuing from the Sole Reality, its radiance dancing within all things in its informing activities. The little mortal, now a God-man, is engulfed in an ineffable delight. His soul, his heart, his mind with all its instruments, and the very atoms of his being, all rejoice with countless expressions of adoration-for everything that presents itself is an altar of Spirit.

The taintless devotee, whose intuition has expanded into cosmic consciousness with its revelation of the hidden immanent workings of the transcendent Spirit, has attained the Ultimate. No more is he a dupe of delusion upon whom actions are enforced. Ensconced in wisdom, he freely acts through the God-given instruments of Nature, without the ensuing bondage caused by egotistical motivation. In him, the workings of Nature are manifestations of duty successfully completed, and duty continuing to be offered in selfless service as acts of devotion to God: (krita-kritya, "what has been done and what is to be done"). He is an exemplar of supreme accomplishment, and of the art of accomplishing: God-united in transcendental ecstasy, and divinely active in the dutiful realm of Manifested Spirit.

15: 18 - 20, God talks with Arjuna,

The Bhagavad Gita.

Ram Dass

What you meet in another being is the projection of your own level of evolution.

Tatvamasyadilaksyam

The four Vedas proclaim four mahavakyas or fundamental truths. These basic statements are: (1) Prajnanam Brahma or God is Pure Consciousness. (2) Ayam Atma Brahma, meaning that Atma (the Self) and Brahman (God) are one. (3) Aham Brahmasmi, meaning I am God. (4) Tat Twam Asi, meaning That thou art!

Jed McKenna

This is it. Not some other time, not some other place. Right here. Right now. I am standing at the exact center of infinity and I see beauty and perfection and absolute delight everywhere and in every thing. The touch of the slightest breeze, the sight of a single star through cloud-swept skies, the howls of coyote pups in the distance and the sheer glory and beauty of it all is enough to tear me to shreds and all I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you.

Gangaji

“Letting go of control is a deeper relaxation, a floating on the ocean. You can become aware of where you are holding on, and you can just let go and allow the ocean to hold you. You can become aware that all your tension and clinging are unnecessary, and then relax and let yourself be supported. In this same way you can become aware of all the mental and emotional energy that gets exerted in holding on to a particular story, and you can just let it all go. There is a deeper intelligence than the one you use to control, and it is present to be recognized in all lives, at all moments.”

A course in miracles

“Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.”

Taittiriya Upanishad 1:4:2

“Thou art the source of all happiness and of all prosperity. Do thou come to me as the goddess of prosperity and shower thy blessings upon me. May the seekers after truth gather round me, may they come from everywhere, that I may teach them thy word.”

Light and Sound Form the Very Basis of Life

“If we look at the universe we will appreciate that light and sound form the very basis of the whole of the universe surrounding us including our own bodies…the creation… If these two elements are somehow removed from the universe, the universe would collapse or get dissolved or even more appropriately put, would simply cease to exist. This process is known as involution or ‘laya’ (in Sanskrit), as opposed to evolution. Light and sound form the very basis of life…

The Divinity Of Life by Swami Tathagatananda

The Hindu mind is singularly dominated by one paramount conception: the divinity of life. Regarding the creation of the universe, Hindu tradition, based on the experiences of illumined mystics, asserts with deep conviction that God is the supreme creator of every thing and every being. The Reality within and the Reality without are identical. There is complete harmony between the individual and the universe, the microcosm and the macrocosm.

God Loves All Beings by Unknown

"..will come to understand that the whole of creation is in fact One; that the divine love of the One God dwells within the true mind and true self of all beings, and that all existence in the universe are interconnected, mutually inclusive and inseparable within God's divine love - which is, in fact , our true heart and true soul"

The Avadhuta Gita : History

The Avadhuta Gita (date unknown) is a Sanskrit text describing the position of Non-dual (Advaita) Vedanta. It is a work that reads like a repetitive chant, again and again proclaiming the outlook of absolute unity. This text is written from the perspective of an Avadhuta. An Avadhuta is a liberated soul who is completely beyond worldly attachments and cares. He seeks nothing, he renounces nothing; he is not swayed by social convention nor approval. He exists completely in the bliss of his own inner self. This work is customarily attributed to the sage Dattatreya

-Anon I mus (Spiritually Anonymous)

“The universe is the result of Source Energy taking a temporary, dream-like vacation away from itself in space-time. We are source fractals fully immersed in this holographic, 3D reality; here to experience the illusion of separation that will allow us to awaken to a greater love (Universal Oneness).”

Rumi

Speak little, learn the words of eternity. Go beyond your tangled thoughts and find the splendor of paradise.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

To be a star, you must shine your own light, follow your path, and don't worry about the darkness, for that is when the stars shine brightest.

Vivekananda

Every human personality may be compared to a glass globe. There is the same pure white light — an emission of the divine Being — in the centre of each, but the glass being of different colours and thickness, the rays assume diverse aspects in the transmission

- Paramahansa Yogananda

“Remember, the best shelter is in the silence of your soul. And if you can develop that silence, nothing in the world can touch you…You can stand unshaken midst the crash of breaking worlds.“

Robert Thurman

The Bodhisattva is always joyful, even when suffering. Bodhisattvas are always happy and cheerful under pressure, because they have felt the essence of reality as freedom.

Shvetashvatara Upanishad, 5.11–12.

The soul is born and unfolds in

a body, with dreams and desires

and the food of life. And then it is

reborn in new bodies in accordance

with its former works. The quality

of the soul determines its future

body—earthly or airy, heavy or light.

Ram Dass

There is no experience in your life that doesn't have the potential to liberate you. It is perfectly designed, and there is no irrelevancy in the system. When you finally want to get free, everything, every single thing in your life, becomes grist for the mill.

Rajneesh

I don't think existence wants you to be serious. I have not seen a serious tree. I have not seen a serious bird. I have not seen a serious sunrise. I have not seen a serious starry night. It seems they are all laughing in their own ways, dancing in their own ways. We may not understand it, but there is a subtle feeling that the whole existence is a celebration.

Namu Amida Butsu

A spiritual awakening is just that - an awakening. We still have to get out of bed. Some people awaken for just a moment and then doze off again. If we want to stay awake and alive, if we want the miracle of recovery to continue to unfold in our lives, we find ways to put this awakening into action. If we are not carrying the message, we go to sleep again.

Prabhavananda from his book "Breath of the Eternal"

The Self resides within the lotus of

the heart. Knowing this, consecrated

to the Self, the sage enters daily

that holy sanctuary. Absorbed in

the Self, the sage is freed from

identity with the body and lives

in blissful consciousness.

Sama Veda, Chandogya

Upanishad 8.3.3-4

The Upanishads

The Self is hidden in the lotus of the heart. Those who see themselves in all creatures go day by day into the world of Brahman hidden in the heart. Established in peace, they rise above body-consciousness to the supreme light of the Self. Immortal, free from fear, this Self is Brahman, called the True. Beyond the mortal and the immortal, he binds both worlds together. Those who know this live day after day in heaven in this very life.

Mingyur Rinpoche

Awareness is completely empty, yet you can see, you can hear, you can think, and you can feel. If you think about it, it's strange and wonderful. And all we have to do is nothing. Just be with everything as it is.

Ramana Maharshi

Atman is not a light like the petromax light. It is called light because everything else becomes known through It.

Sivananda

“Life is short. Time is fleeting. Realize the Self. Purity of the heart is the gateway to God. Aspire. Renounce. Meditate. Be good; do good. Be kind; be compassionate. Inquire, know Thyself.”

Osho

 Buddha says:

"Attain to choiceless awareness-don't choose at all.

Just watch and be aware without choosing, and you will attain to bliss, you will attain to the lotus paradise."
