All the joys of the entire cosmos put together would be only a small drop of the bliss of the Supreme Being. Whatever little satisfaction we have, whatever pleasure  all this is but a reflection, a fractional distorted form, a drop, as it were, from this ocean of the Absolute.

Bhagavad Gita 9:11

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad

Atma Upanishad 1-4

Next the supreme Self, the imperishable, He is to meditated on with (the help of) the Yogic steps, breath control, withdrawal (of sense organs), fixation (of mind), contemplation and concentration, He is to be inferred by the thinkers on the Self as like unto the seed of the Banyan tree or a grain of millet or a hundredth part of a split hair. (Thus) is He won and not known. He is not born, does not die, does not dry, is not wetted, not burnt, does not tremble, is not split, does not sweat. He is beyond the gunas, is spectator, is pure, partless, alone, subtle, owning naught, blemishless, immutable, devoid of sound, touch, colour, taste, smell, is indubitable, non-grasping, omnipresent. He is unthinkable and invisible. He purifies the impure, the unhallowed. He acts not. He is not subject to empirical existence.

Maitreya Upanishad 1-15

That which is the eternal, the pure, the ever vigilant, free from the nature (of delusions), the true, the subtle, the supremely powerful, the one without a second, the ocean of bliss and transcendent, that I am, the innermost essence (of all); there is no doubt about it.

Goddess Durga

Goddess Durga is seen as the supreme mother goddess by Hindus In Hinduism, Durga represents the empowering and protective nature of motherhood. From her forehead sprang Kali, who defeated Durga's enemy, Mahishasura. Kali (the feminine form of Kaala" i.e. "time") is the primordial energy as power of Time, literally, the "creator or doer of time"—her first manifestation. After time, she manifests as "space", as Tara, from which point further creation of the material universe progresses.

Kahill Gibran

“Beauty is life when life unveils her holy face. But you are life and you are the veil. Beauty is eternity gazing at itself in a mirror. But you are eternity and you are the mirror.”

Maitreya Upanishad

Om! Let my limbs and speech, Prana, eyes, ears, vitality

And all the senses grow in strength.
All existence is the Brahman of the Upanishads.
May I never deny Brahman, nor Brahman deny me.
Let there be no denial at all:
Let there be no denial at least from me.
May the virtues that are proclaimed in the Upanishads be in me,
Who am devoted to the Atman; may they reside in me.
Om! Let there be Peace in me!
Let there be Peace in my environment!
Let there be Peace in the forces that act on me!

Bhagavad Gita 2:12

“Truly there never was a time when I was not, nor you, nor these lords of men–nor in the future will there be a time when we shall cease to be”.

Aldous Huxley

“The spiritual journey does not consist of arriving at a new destination where a person gains what he did not have, or becomes what he is not. It consists in the dissipation of one’s own ignorance concerning oneself and life, and the gradual growth of that understanding which begins the spiritual awakening. The finding of God is a coming to ones self.”

Tilopa’s Song of Mahamudra to Naropa

 “KYE MA! Listen with sympathy!

With insight into your sorry worldly predicament,
Realising that nothing can last, that all is as dreamlike illusion,
Meaningless illusion provoking frustration and boredom,
Turn around and abandon your mundane pursuits.”

”Know then, that both this visible world and that

Which unseen is, alike are God Himself,
Naught is, save God: and all that is, is God.
And yet, alas! by how few is He seen,
Blind are men’s eyes, though all resplendent shines
The world by Deity’s own light illumined.”

“It is as though you have an eye

That sees all forms

But does not see itself.
This is how your mind is.
Its light penetrates everywhere
And engulfs everything, So why does it not know itself?”

Ramana Maharshi

“I cannot show you God or enable you to see God because God is not an object that can be seen. God is the subject. He is the seer. Don’t concern yourself with objects that can be seen. Find out who the seer is. You alone are God.”

Mechtild of Magdeburg

The day of my spiritual awakening was the day I saw–and knew I saw–all things in God, and God in all things.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Glorious indeed is the world of God around us, but more glorious the world of God within us.

Keep quiet and you will know who really you are. There is nothing outside that can help you, you have just to keep quiet - that's all - and you will know then you are eternal. You are eternal existence itself

Ishavasya Upanishad

“He who knows that both the manifest (sakara) and the unmanifest (nirakara) are really one, overcomes death through the manifest and obtains immortality through the unmanifest.”

Paramahansa Yogananda

Do not even allow yourself to be limited to the consciousness that you are a man or a woman: You are a Soul made in God’s image. The wisest course is to remember always, “I am neither man nor woman. I am Spirit.” Then you will rid yourself of the limiting consciousness of both tendencies; you will realize your highest divine potential, whether you are incarnate as a man or a woman.

Yoga Vasistham

 No one can destroy

the mind of others .. In your own consciousness, create the world as you like. In truth, the infinite consciousness, the mind (one's own consciousness) and the infinite space are all of one substance, pervaded by the infinite consciousness. Therefore, regardless of what has been created, you can create as many worlds as you like .. It is the mind that makes things appear here. It brings about the appearance of the body, etc. Naught else is aware of the body

"We realize--often quite suddenly--that our sense of self, which has been formed and constructed out of our ideas, beliefs and images, is not really who we are. It doesn't define us, it has no center... The way we perceive the world suddenly changes, and we find ourselves without any sense of separation between us and them."

Alan Watts

Through our eyes, the universe is perceiving itself.
Through our ears, the universe is listening to its harmonies.
We are the witnesses through which the universe becomes conscious of its glory, of its magnificence.

The Nearest of the Near

The symbolism of Shiva and Shakti

The symbolism of Shiva and Shakti in Hindu mysticism is thus representative of the creative principle of Consciousness, which brings this phenomenal universe, as it were, into existence.

Shiva is seen as that immutable consciousness, as the carrier of this power, and Shakti is seen as the creative force, the movement of consciousness itself. Shiva is thus the eternal stillness out of which the movement of Shakti flows.

Paramahansa Yogananda

Gods voice is silence. Only when restless thoughts cease, can one hear the voice of God communicating through the silence of Intuition.”

D T Suzuki

 Unless it grows

out of yourself, no knowledge is really yours. It is only borrowed plumage Emptiness which is conceptually liable to be mistaken for sheer nothingness is in fact, the reservoir of infinite possibilities

Ken Wilber

 It's very important to

experience your mind directly, clearly, intensely, because only by bringing awareness to the mind can you begin to transcend the mind and be free of its limitations

Ramesh Balsekar

 Enlightenment or Awakening

is not an object to be achieved by a pseudo-subject identified with a particular body-mind object, for the simple reason that Enlightenment is a state in which there is no separate individual doer of any action. Total unconditional acceptance of this fact - which itself is not in one's control - leads naturally to the only action that is necessary for the awakening to happen: the action of non-action; unmotivated, non-volitional functioning

Sri Robert Adams

If you teach yourself not to think but to stay in the moment,

in that moment you are divine, in that moment you are ultimate oneness. That moment is sat-chit ananda, nirvana. There is only the moment, time and space does not exist. Time and space become condensed in the moment. In that moment you are total freedom. But when you try to think about it you spoil it. When a thought arises, the moment is forgotten. You therefore have to do anything and everything you can to learn to rest in the moment. The moment is right here, right now. There are no problems and no troubles and no sickness and no lack, no evil in this moment.

Paul Brunton

 Peace is a

costly privilege - to be fought for, attained and won. It comes only from a conquered mind .. Worry is spiritual short-sight. Its cure is intelligent faith

 Man's experience of joy

originates in the brain, in the subtle centre of God- consciousness. Yet the actual feeling of joy is experienced not in the head but in the heart. From the divine seat of God-consciousness in the brain, joy descends into the heart and manifests there. That joy comes from God's bliss - the essential and ultimate attribute of Spirit

Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

There is in the body a current of energy, affection and intelligence, which guides, maintains and energizes the body. Discover that current and stay with it. Find the spark of life that weaves the tissues of your body and be with it. It is the only reality the body has.

Sri Ramana Maharshi

The spiritual force of Realisation is far more powerful than the use of all occult powers. Inasmuch as there is no ego in the Sage there are no ‘others’ for him. What is the highest benefit that can be conferred on you? It is happiness, and happiness is born of peace. Peace can reign only where there is no disturbance, and disturbance, is due to thoughts that arise in the mind. When the mind is itself absent, there will be perfect peace.

Ramana Maharshi

 In a sense, speaking

of Self-Realisation is a delusion; only because we have been under the delusion that the non-Self is the Self, and the unreal the Real, we have to be weened out of it by the other delusion called Self-Realisation. The Self is always the Self

Chuang Tzu

You have only to rest in inaction and things will transform themselves. Smash your form and body, spit out hearing and eyesight, forget you are a thing among other things, and you may join in great unity with the deep and boundless.

Rig Veda

"The cosmic order is controlled by a fundamental moral principle. An eternal law or unity, which can be conceived as the principle of rightness or justice, regulates all phenomena. In the Veda, this is called "Rtam", which means the fixed way or course, in other words, the settled order of things. The whole universe is founded on Rtam and moves in it. It keeps all things and beings in their respective courses. Consequently nothing deviates from its own nature. Because of Rtam, fire burns, wind blows, water flows, plants grow and the seasons revolve. Rtam maintains regularity in the movements of the Sun and Moon, the planets and other luminaries. It manifests itself as the universal law of causation which finds expression in the human plane as the law of Karma. It establishes unity between the Cosmic forces and the individual powers. It is the basis of all laws, physical, biological, psychical, moral and spiritual. Rtam regulates Dharma, the principle of equity, the moral law that governs human life. because of this, right deed inevitably produces good result whereas wrong deed leads to evil consequences. There is no unmerited happiness or misery, gain or loss in mans life."

" Franklin Merrell-Wollf "The Philosophy of Consciousness without an Object"

"The final thought before the breakthrough was the very clear realization that there was nothing to be attained. For attainment implied acquisition and that implied change in content of consciousness. But the goal is not change but detachment from content. Thus I am already that which I seek and therefore there is nothing to be sought. By the very seeking, I hide myself from myself. Therefore abandon the search and expect nothing. This was for me the end of the long search, I died and in the same instant was born again. Spontaneity took over in place of the old self-determined effort, after that I knew directly the consciousness reported by the mystics again and again."

The Universe

The Universe was never created , but was manifested . All these forms of the World have been manifested by GOD , yet GOD is beyond all names and forms .

The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna

The Divine Mother has revealed to me the essence of the Vedanta. It is that Brahman alone is real and the world illusory. The essence of the Gita is what you get by repeating the word ten times. The word becomes reversed. It is then 'tagi', which refers to renunciation. The essence of the Gita is: 'O man, renounce everything and practise spiritual discipline for the realization of God.

The Buddha

"Be a lamp unto yourself." — The Buddha when asked by his disciple who would be their teacher after his passing.

Both anatomy and astronomy describe you. –Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

As is the human body, So is the cosmic body. As is the human mind, So is the cosmic mind. As is the microcosm, So is the macrocosm. As is the atom, So is the universe. –The Upanishads

–The Mundaka Upanishad

Bright but hidden, the Self dwells in the heart.

Everything that moves, breathes, opens, and closes Lives in the Self. This is the Source of Love And may be known through love but not through thought. This is the goal of life.

“Life is a mystery. You cannot understand it unless you surrender, for your intellect cannot grasp its expansive and infinite nature, its real meaning and fullness. Bow down low and be humble; then you will know life's meaning.”

Douglas Harding

"Inwardly you are God, outwardly you are a person. Instead of thinking you are just a person, that appearance, you can awake to the power behind you, the safety within you, the source of inspiration and guidance at the heart of your human life. This enables you to be yourself even more so."

"A thoughtless mind is egoless. A thoughtless mind is boundless. A thoughtless mind is already the infinite. If even for a single moment there is no thought, you are the infinite -- because without thought there can be no boundary. Without thought, you disappear and the divine descends."
