WEI WU WEI

The Illusion of Self (Ego): Wei Wu Wei argues that human unhappiness stems from acting on behalf of an ego ("self") that does not truly exist. He believed that the concept of a separate "I" is a false illusion, and this "I-concept" is the source of all evil and unhappiness.

Olaf Stapledon (1886 - 1950)

We should not for a moment consider even our best-established knowledge of existence as true.

It is awareness only of the colors that our own vision paints on the film of one bubble in one
strand of foam on the ocean of being.

'The Thunder Of Silence', Joel Goldsmith

'The words we speak are not power, nor are the thoughts we think.  But, if we sit in a complete quiet in the thundering Silence and keep our 'mind stayed on Thee,' eventually, we arrive at a place where thoughts do not come any more; and, in a few moments, we begin to feel this inner peace that is known as realization'

RUMI

This aloneness is worth more than a thousand lives.
This freedom is worth more than all the lands on earth.
To be one with the truth for just a moment,
Is worth more than the world and life itself.

Maa, Amoda. Falling Open in a World Falling Apart (p. 121)

The world you perceive is such a potent invitation to discover that in you which is unchanging—that which is untouchable, that which will always be here even when all of this passes. The one who is rooted in that which remains when everything comes and goes, lives forever—not as an earthly body, but as the light of consciousness. The consciousness that is being-ness is all that really matters. There is only one being-ness manifesting through all these apparent separate selves in the world—there appear to be billions of beings, but truly there is only one. Discover this being-ness and you will know that which lives forever. Being-ness has no beginning and no end—it is the totality of existence, and therefore it is wholeness itself.

It’s like a dance ~ Tenzin Palmo

It’s like a dance. And we have to give each being space to dance their dance. Everything is dancing; even the molecules inside the cells are dancing. But we make our lives so heavy. We have these incredibly heavy burdens we carry with us like rocks in a big rucksack. We think that carrying this big heavy rucksack is our security; we think it grounds us. We don’t realize the freedom, the lightness of just dropping it off, letting it go. That doesn’t mean giving up relationships; it doesn’t mean giving up one’s profession, or one’s family,or one’s home. It has nothing to do with that; it’s not an external change. It’s an internal change. It’s a change from holding on tightly to holding very lightly.

THE DIVINITY OF MAN

Not one of the Masters came with the thought of forming an exclusive community or to give a certain religion. They came with the same Message . . . that God, Truth, Religion are one: duality only a delusion of human nature. Think, then, what a great service lies before this Message — at this time, when nation is against nation, race against race, when the followers of one religion are constantly working against the followers of another religion, class working against class; competition, hate, prejudice prevailing everywhere. . . .

Life is one continual battle, and only one thing can ease this battle — consideration for others, reciprocity, unselfishness instead of selfishness. In the world's progress, with selfishness as the central theme, progress will never lead to the soul's desire and aim.. . . For life is not only to live, but to ennoble oneself and reach that perfection which is the innate yearning of the soul. The solution to the problem of the day is that the consciousness of humanity may be awakened to the divinity of man. The undertone of all religions is the realisation of the One Life which culminates in the thought of Unity.— Inayat Khan

Papaji

“To find permanent joy, you must look in the right direction. You will not find it in any outside object. Every object will rise, stay, and then cease. You have to look somewhere else for permanent, eternal joy. Don’t attribute joy to something else, be it a person, the sun, moon, or stars. Stop this tendency of going to outside objects, whatever they may be. Stop your mind from going in any direction outside. Then you must return to your inner beauty. That is your own nature: bliss eternal, which you have never felt.”

Albert Einstein

I like to experience the universe as one harmonious whole. Every cell has life. Matter, too, has life; it is energy solidified.

The Buddha

Painful it is to be born again and again.

O house-builder, you shall build no house again.

All your rafters are broken.

My mind has attained the unconditioned.

Achieved is the end of craving.

A Paradox UNKNOWN

“If you want to be free, get to know your real self. It has no form, no appearance, no root, no basis, no abode, but is lively and buoyant. It responds with versatile facility, but cannot be located. Therefore when you look for it, you become further from it, when you seek it, you turn away from it all the more.”

Ram Dass from BE HERE NOW

Ram Dass

When we're identified with Awareness,
we're no longer living in a world of polarities. Everything is present at the same time.

Anon I mus (Spiritually Anonymous)

“The Self (Pure Awareness) does not become enlightened or unenlightened; there is just an unveiling of ignorance (from mind-identification). Even the desire to wake up is just another dream; wanting to awaken is derived from the false assumption that you are sleeping.

You must realize that Awareness is impersonal, does not have a past story (biography) and was never asleep. The One hidden behind the veil is the Self, the One that is lifting the veil is also the Self.”

AUTHOR UNKNOWN

It is not an individual thing. There is no such thing as “my Atman” or “your Atman.” The Eternal Spirit is neither yours nor mine and is not the separate individual possession of anyone. There is neither “my Atman” nor “your Atman” but only THE Atman, the ONE Universal Self of all. It is here that all is truly one. The golden key to understanding universal oneness, divine allness, and non-duality (and thus the key to world peace!) is contained in this teaching about the Atman. I am the Atman. You are the Atman. Atman is Who and What we really are. It is our essential nature, it is our true self, it is the All IN All. In fact, It is the one and only Reality. As the Upanishads say, “This Atman IS Brahman.”

Since the Atman is literally Divinity Itself, we should always remember that it never incarnates or reincarnates, nor is it ever affected by our Karma or even by anything whatsoever. It just simply IS.

Tripura Rahasya

“If you say that dream objects lose their existence the moment a person wakes up, Wait, is it not also true that objects corresponding to the waking state vanish in the dream and deep sleep states?”

Shunryu Suzuki

Faith is a state of openness or trust… In other words, a person who is fanatic in matters of religion, and clings to certain ideas about the nature of God and the universe, becomes a person who has no faith at all. Instead they are holding tight. But the attitude of faith is to let go, and become open to the truth, whatever it might turn out to be.

Akshi Upanishad

Here rises the Sun, thousand-rayed, existent in myriad ways, the life of all animate beings. (I meditate on Him who is) omniform, compassionate, omniscient, ambrosial, of the essence of light, the Scorcher.Of the essence of Purity, the blessed One scorches (the sins of the sinful). The blessed Swan, of the essence of Purity, is the Prototype (of the bound soul, the Jiva).

Maitreya Upanishad 1-15

That which is the eternal, the pure, the ever vigilant, free from the nature (of delusions), the true, the subtle, the supremely powerful, the one without a second, the ocean of bliss and transcendent, that I am, the innermost essence (of all); there is no doubt about it.

Sri Ramana Maharshi

It is false to speak of realisation. What is there to realise? The real is as it is always. We are not creating anything new or achieving something which we did not have before. The illustration given in books is this. We dig a well and create a huge pit. The space in the pit or well has not been created by us. We have just removed the earth which was filling the space there. The space was there then and is also there now. Similarly we have simply to throw out all the age-long sanskaras which are inside us. When all of them have been given up, the Self will shine alone.

RUMI THE DIVINE LIGHT

Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

Sogyal Rinpoche, Tibetan Book of Living and Dying

In Tibetan, the word for “body” is lĂĽ, which means “something you leave behind,” like baggage. Each time we say lĂĽ, it reminds us that we are only travellers, taking temporary refuge in this life and this body.

In Tibet, people did not distract themselves by spending all their time trying to make their external circumstances more comfortable. They were satisfied if they had enough to eat, clothes on their backs, and a roof over their heads.

Going on, as we do, obsessively trying to improve our conditions, can become an end in itself, and a pointless distraction.

Would people in their right mind think of fastidiously redecorating their hotel room every time they checked in to one?

NAGARJUNA

Omraan Mikhael Aivanhov(1900-1986)

You will understand what love truly is when you stop thinking of it as a feeling. To love is not to have a feeling for someone but to live in love and do everything with love - speak, walk, eat, breathe, study with love… Love arises when we have brought all our organs, cells and faculties into a state of harmony, so that they vibrate in unison in light and peace. So love is a permanent state of consciousness. Those who have attained this state of consciousness feel their whole being imbued with divine fluids, and everything they do is a melody.

What is Sexual Magic? FROM Samael Aun Weor, The Mystery of the Golden Flower

Sexual magic refers to an ancient science that has been known and protected by the purest, most spiritually advanced human beings, whose purpose and goal is the harnessing and perfection of our sexual forces. A more accurate translation of sexual magic would be "sexual priesthood."

The word magic is derived from the ancient word magos "one of the members of the learned and priestly class," from O.Pers. magush, possibly from PIE *magh- "to be able, to have power." [Quoted from Online Etymology Dictionary].

"All of us possess some electrical and magnetic forces within, and, just like a magnet, we exert a force of attraction and repulsion... Between lovers that magnetic force is particularly powerful and its action has a far-reaching effect."
