A hermit found a mirror in the forest and gazed at his reflection, puzzled. He asked, “Who is this?” Each day, he returned, asking the same question. One day, he laughed and threw the mirror away, saying, “It shows nothing I need to know.”
Lesson: The self we see is a fleeting image, not real. True understanding comes from looking beyond all appearances. To find your self, look beyond what changes, or comes and goes.
