This is a beautiful artwork inspired by the Newari Paubha style of Hindu paintings showing lord Shiva here as the purusha (consciousness) and Parvati, his divine counterpart representing the prakriti (matter) and their divine dance showing the union of consciousness with matter which is the principal behind life and the self.
