You cannot in anyway force your mind into a state of peace. Just watch its movements as you would a bird flying in the open sky. Relax all the various judgments and censors of your imagined self until there is nothing left but quiet looking. This is your natural meditative state, free of all layers of inhibitions and anxiety.
