The Lotus,
The Lotus, known as the yoni in Eastern symbolism, is representative of the Divine Feminine. It is seen as a symbol of all four of the classical elements, illustrating the primal condition before creation when all the elements were united in the cosmic womb. Earth is the mud which anchors the flowers roots, water is the medium surrounding the stalk, the scent of the blossom releases its scent in the wafting of air breezes, and the flowers fertility is drawn from the fire of the sun.
