Towards a Christian Advaita

Developed by the Hindu philosopher Sankara in the eighth century AD, advaita, or non-dualism, ‘expresses a relationship between God and the world or between God and the soul’. This relationship is understood in terms of ‘non-reciprocity, dependence, non-separatedness, non-otherness and distinction’ between God as cause (Brahman) and creation as effect.
