"How bad do you want to give up your ego? Some of us are so caught up into our lives that we think are important, that we’re actually afraid to give up the ego in its entirety. Because we are afraid of the unknown. We say something like this to ourselves, 'At least now I know where I am and what I've got, or with who I'm with. But if I give everything up, I might just be nothing at all.'
