".. says, food is ‘annam brahmeti’ (food is Brahman, the highest reality and conscious principle). It adds, ‘Annam na nindayat tad vratam’ (do not criticize food, that is the pledge)
"The gods are immortal and who are saying so? Human beings are saying so. They hoped to become immortal by creating imaginary deities. In Upanishads we see that the Rishis are praying ‘Take me from death to immortality’. They are not praying for the imaginary deities, they are praying for themselves. The Vedic Rishis or sages were also human beings, and so they are praying for immortality of the human beings."
When the mind, one-pointed and fully focused, knows the supreme silence in the Heart, this is true learning.

We come to know all things made out of iron -"As long as man is overpowered by the darkness of ignorance, he is the slave of Nature and must accept whatever comes as the fruit of his thoughts and deeds. When he strays into the path of unreality, the Sages declare that he destroys himself; because he who clings to the perishable body and regards it as his true Self must experience death many times."
