Consciousness in Advaita Vedanta by advaitaisnondual

In Advaita Vedanta, consciousness is considered the fundamental reality, Brahman, and the source of all experience. It's not a separate entity or creator but the underlying principle and nature of everything.

  • Consciousness as the Ultimate Reality: Advaita Vedanta asserts that consciousness, or Brahman, is the ultimate, non-dual reality, the foundation of the universe.
  • Immanence and Transcendence:

Consciousness is both immanent, present in all things, and transcendent, beyond the realm of experience.

  • Transcendence of Suffering:

This realization, according to Advaita Vedanta, leads to the transcendence of suffering and the attainment of liberation.
