To be controlled by moods is to be a part of matter. If you keep your mind on the resolve never to lose your peace, then you can attain godliness. Keep a secret chamber of silence within yourself, where you will not let moods, trials, battles, or inharmony enter. Keep out all hatred, revengefulness, and desires. In this chamber of peace God will visit you.

Philosophers maintain that the future is similarly nothing more than a mental construct, an anticipation, a grouping of thoughts. Because thinking itself occurs strictly in the “now”—where is time?Does time exist on its own, apart from human concepts that are no more than conveniences for our formulas or for the description of motion and events? In this way, simple logic alone casts doubt on whether there exists anything outside of an “eternal now” that includes the human mind’s tendency to think and daydream. Physicists, for their part, find that all working models for reality—from Newton’s laws and Einstein’s field equations through quantum mechanics—have no need for time. They are all time-symmetrical.
"Those who are established in wisdom (sthita-prajna) live in continuous, unbroken awareness that they are not the perishable body but the Atman. Further, they see the same Self in everyone, for the Atman is universally present in all. Such a one, Krishna says, does not identify with personal desires. These desires are on the surface of personality, and the Self is its very core. The Self-realized man or woman is not motivated by personal desires – in other words, by any desire for kama, personal satisfaction."

How many of you believe you can quiet the mind through effort? You can't do that. It's not the effort that makes you quiet your mind. It's the intelligent understanding that you have no mind to begin with. Then you just keep still and everything takes care of itself. If you have to meditate, by all means meditate.
This path is never against any other method, due to the fact they all eventually lead to awakening. You have to do whatever you have to do. But for those who can understand what I'm talking about, and realize you're dealing with no mind, no body, no world, no universe, no God, an awakening comes immediately, because there's no one who is sleeping. Do you follow this?
All religions serve a purpose and vary in their teachings. They are all paths, but alas, they are constructs of the mind, destined to perish. Divine Love, the source of all life, resides in every heart, far beyond religion, philosophy, metaphysics, science, art, and the mind itself.
The Upanishads proclaim that "Atman is Brahman." Atman refers to the ‘individual soul’ of all living things and that which is immortal, unlike the body. Brahman is the supreme soul or the ‘cosmic soul,’ the life source of all that exists in the universe. So, the phrase "Atman is Brahman" wonderfully implies that the individual soul – you and me – are part of the cosmic soul. This is also the basis of Ralph Waldo Emerson's essay entitled ‘Over-Soul’ (1841) and other similar Transcendental writings in Western Literature.

The core insight involves a subtle shift in the way you see yourself and your life. It is a stepping back, so to speak, and beginning to see that you are not the person you thought you were. Specifically, you are not your "story." The reality you've created inside your head about who you are--your beliefs, personal history, attitudes, identity, and self-image--is not who you are. This internal reality is actually nothing more than a tale you've been telling yourself, probably for most of your life. It's a fiction, a myth, created out of memory and belief, reinforced through the opinions and judgments of others, and clung to mainly through ignorance and habit.
Truth is not a reward for good behavior, nor a prize for passing some tests. It cannot be brought about. Truth is the primary, the unborn, the ancient source of all that is. You are eligible because you are. You need not merit truth. It is your own. Just stop running away by running after. Stand still, be quiet
Forgetting his own Real Nature, whichis all-pervading Consciousness, a person comes to misunderstand himself to be the matter envelopments which are nothing but thought-created encrustations around the Divine in him.
Perceiving through the prism of the body, mind and intellect, he sees Truth splashed and splintered into endless plurality and the objects give a delusory enchantment to the senses and the mind.
To satisfy these urges of his body and mind, the individual runs after the objects. Such a deluded person, having misunderstood his Real Nature, becomes the 'samsaric' ego-centre, a victim of his own ignorance. This fall of the Self to be the selfish ego is spiritual suicide
Love is the very foundation, beauty and fulfillment of life. If we dive deep enough into ourselves, we will find that the one thread of universal love ties all beings together. As this awareness dawns within us, peace alone will reign.
The greatest discovery in life is to discover that our essential nature does not share the limits nor the destiny of the body and mind.
