Ramana Maharshi

Turning the mind inward is a gradual process achieved through the practice of dispassion. The mind, having been so long a cow accustomed to grazing on other estates, overlooks the fine fodder of its own pasture. The urge to stray afar lessens once the grass of its own home is tasted. Eventually, even if let loose, there is no reason to wander. The mind follows a similar course—once it discovers inner happiness, there is no desire to grasp and seek.
