Yet we must ultimately go beyond karma in order to find our true nature. You are not the doer. It is the instruments of mind, body and senses that are behind any action. Once you realize that you are not the doer, then you will naturally do what is appropriate as you are not pursuing any outer rewards or seeking to avoid any outer pain.
