Rupert Spira

“ Suffering is in fact a call from the depths of our being.

It is in fact a call from happiness itself: 'Come back to me, you are looking for me in the wrong place. Cease rising in the form of attention, wandering in the realm of objects, looking for peace in situations, happiness in objects, love in relationships. Look for me where I really am. Look for me in the heart, look for me at the SOURCE of attention, not its destiny.'
Once the body is no longer presided over by the tyranny of a separate self, it gradually returns to its natural state of peace, openness, transparency, availability, sensitivity and love.”
