We are in the midst of a big collective drama which affects each one of us in real, tangible ways.
At the same time you always have a choice whether to identify with that drama or not.
When you identify with a drama -whether personal or collective - your being contracts. You become smaller, narrower, less spacious, less loving. There is literally less room in your body for life-giving air and less room in your mind for uplifting inspiration. You are closed and resistant. When your being contracts your awareness contracts, you are less intelligent, less awake, less available.
On the other hand, no matter what is going on in your outer world, you can choose in any moment to identify and align with consciousness.
Consciousness is free. It exists in all life.
Consciousness is One and Whole and connected. It was here before you were born and will be here after you die. Consciousness is intelligent, awake, expansive, limitless and always evolving.
When you choose to identify with the consciousness that exists beyond any drama, you expand and become spacious. You are One with all Life , without limits, deathless.
When you choose to identify with consciousness the dramas still go on but you are no longer identified with them. You hold them in a more spacious, loving embrace, you witness with curiosity. You are in the world but not of it. You are free to play your part fully, in alignment with the higher values of consciousness, yet not attached to results.
This is true freedom. Our current global crisis offers each of us the opportunity to practice true freedom.~
