There is something in our experience that isn’t touched by any object (thoughts, perception, feelings, sensations) and is always present - it is existence itself, often described as Heart in spiritual teachings. Words will never describe it but it’s the closest thing that we have. It’s the only thing in our consciousness that was, is and will always be there. Ask yourself “If I remove everything from my experience what is left?”. What remains is who we are.
