— Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee

The great magic of Creator as creation is not other than one’s ordinary life, one’s deepest humanity, one’s breath, one’s love and longing. It is here that the book of life is written—in the moment-to-moment intimacy of our breath, our love and longing, as we bring those consciously into our ordinary lives. Too many of us are waiting for some- thing else—extraordinary states, powers beyond our own —or someone else to do the work that is needed. But we have what is needed always present and available within us. When we live according to the real need and purpose of our soul, its hidden substance can wake up. We do, as Rūmī says, the one thing needful. If we fail to live our soul’s longing for Truth we will remain caught in the veils of deception and nothing will have meaning; nothing can really happen.
